From 11am to 4pm, all are welcome to bring in their arrowheads, stones, pottery, baskets, jewelry, etc. The Hilltop Farm Store and Creamery will be open all afternoon, selling ice cream, milk shakes, floats, and coolers that you can enjoy in the shade of our oak grove. Suffield Chicks, a Suffield agriscience student supervised agricultural experience at Hilltop, will offer a program on caring for chickens. They will be hosting a beekeeping demonstration. The Hampden County Beekeepers Association keeps hives at Hilltop to raise queen bees. Six vintage base ball teams from across the region will meet at Hilltop for a day of festival play, with games played concurrently on several fields starting at 10am. We also have several special events planned for Saturday: Kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt and can play with the Tonka trucks in our sand pile. Visitors are welcome to explore the farmstead and learn about encouraging pollinators. We look forward to showing off the big white barn and the gorgeous new History of Hilltop panels that tell the Hendee, Stroh and FOFAH stories.
